We gathered in the 'town square' for some pre-show entertainment, including pirate themed Christmas songs, frosty drinks with rum in them, and a performing sea lion...
...who had more talent than some actors I could name.
Once we were allowed into the main arena we found our seats and got a look at the stage for that evening's show.
The ship of the Emerald Pirates.
The Ship of the Scarlet Pirates.
The ship of Captain Scrooge. Yes, Scrooge. Well...it was a Christmas show.
The evening was actually very entertaining - think Medieval Times but with water and mermaids instead of sand and horses. There was tumbling, diving, sword fights, stealing and cheating (because PIRATES) and a live Nativity...because it was a Christmas show. There were macaws, sea lions, a donkey, flocks of ducks, three camels (one of whom was NOT ready for the show), a single white dove, and a 'holy' Cabbage Patch Kid. Oh, and a gigantic animatronic puppet thing that totally creeped me out.
