Waiting for Godot
…or: Three Lazy Punks – A Study in Still-life
Okay, so actually they were just passing the evening on my fleece blanket.
Behold the magical powers of the fleece blanket. No cat can resist napping upon it.
Oh, and would you look at this…
The ‘Cute’…it burns!!!

This, boys and girls, is what is known as a ‘chicken truck.’ They are VERY common in my hometown. And speaking from years and years and years of personal experience…this is about as close to one as you will ever want to get.And OMG!!! The smell!!!
P.S. The blue truck in the picture belongs to a co-worker of mine…you know…the guy who told me I didn’t have job anymore. *avoids temptation and keeps foot firmly on brake pedal*

Lamest Joke EVAH!

Okay, I just had to share this little story with you. OH! And just to keep things clear, it’s a little windy outside today.
So, on my way back into the building after lunch, I passed both the office manager and the CCN (company computer nerd). And this was the exchange between the three of us:
Office Manager: “I know it’s only Tuesday but it sure is ‘WENS-DY’ out here!”
Me: “Umm…yeah.”
THREE SECONDS LATER…
CCN: “It sure is ‘WENS-DY” out here for a Tuesday!” *irritating CCN laugh*
Me: *apathetic disaffected half groan*
Office Manager and CCN: *laughter of the brilliance of their matching jokes*
Me: *head down walking away quickly*
*slams head into keyboard several times while typing this*

Thoughts on a Sleeping Kitten
…or: A Photo Essay Staring the Interloping Midget
Observe the kitten asleep on my bed. Disgustingly cute, isn’t it? Yeah…I hate that. No really, I do.
The kitten is completely and totally oblivious to things like movement, camera noises, and the two other cats it shares the apartment with. Just snoozing away.
Notice how, even in sleep, the kitten seems to know it is being photographed and turns its internal ‘cute’ level up to eleven. The kitten does this on purpose.
I call this pose the ‘road kill.’ LibraryDiva won’t find that as funny as I do.
As I sorted through my CD collection last night the kitten decided that it would ‘help.’ It climbed all over me, the CD cases, the file box and then me again before deciding that this was the best possible place to resume napping.
It’s a tough life.
