The Rather Important Event

Saturday, June 12, 2010, was a beautiful day.

It was also a hot and steamy day in middle Georgia.

And the heat index read 105...in the shade.

And I was dressed in black satin and two inch heels.

But it was totally worth it.

Because two people whom I happen to love very much became man and wife that day.

Karen (aka the H.O.P.S.F)

She was a beautiful bride.

The bridesmaids (well, except for me), Matron of Honor, and mother of the bride.

Aimee, the photography assistant, and two of the readers.

Heather, the Matron of Honor
...she was taking a picture of me taking a picture of her.

Greg the photographer, Aimee, and Angela.

Greg getting Karen ready for a pic.

Karen and her mom.

To get ready for this shot they made Dave walk backward, stand with his back to the door and we had to scramble to cover up a mirror so that he wouldn't see Karen in reflection.

Now, since this was Karen and Dave's day and since I was kinda busy too, I'm not going to give you any more of the details (I'll leave that to Karen).

But I will tell you that it was a wonderful day, a lovely service, and a seriously fantastic party.

Congratulations Karen and Dave!
